The Anise Birds
Add grounded yeast to the lukewarm milk and add a tablespoon of sugar. Allow to increases. Separately whip 5 egg yolks, butter and sugar. Add the yeast milk, the flour and fragrances. Knead into a ball. Again let increase until double height. On a wooden board, divide the dough into eight parts to be established in an elongated rolls, about 25 cm long and narrow. Knot them in a knot and form a bird's beak. Add pepper for the eyes and cut other end in half, to form a bird tail. Let rise. Coat with beaten eggs and oven the birds in the oven at 180 degrees.
