Yellow Dal Tadka Recipe

Pressure cook chana dal and toovar dal with sufficient water, salt and haldi powder. Give 2 whistle and keep on low flame for 10 minutes. Let the pressure drop.In a pan heat ghee/butter and add hing. after few seconds add jeera and let it crackle.Add green chillies, garlic and onions and cook till onions turn light brown.Add tomatoes and red chilli powder and cook for 7-8 minutes.Then add this tadka to the boiled dal and cook for 10-15 minutes on low heat. Cover the vessel while cooking.Garnish with coriander leaves.Serve hot.
